IS THAT BLACK ENOUGH FOR YOU?!?!
Is That Black Enough For You?!? for BLK MKT
Vintage
Client: NETFLIX
To celebrate the release of Elvis Mitchell’s Is That Black Enough For You?!?, we built a partnership with Netflix and Brooklyn-based vintage retailer BLK MKT Vintage. The collaboration included a weekend gallery curated by BLK MKT Vintage that explored the evolution – and revolution – of Black cinema in the 1970s, the iconic decade the documentary examines. The exhibition opened with a private preview event for New York creatives aimed at illuminating the influence this iconic era of Black representation had on the world.

“So much of our work as curators and vintage aficionados is about bridging Black history, collective memory, and cultural production to the contemporary moment and that’s precisely what Elvis has achieved.”
